About the course
The laboratory brings theatre and animation together. Theatre is about live presence, emotion and the here and now. We carry that into animation through handwork, real materials and attention to detail. Natural textures and the maker’s touch give each film its own character.
We treat every frame as a theatre stage. Paper becomes scenery; puppets and objects become actors. The animator’s hands bring a story to life and reveal its characters.
A practical intensive
16 practical classes, with eight two-hour sessions each month. The programme follows the complete filmmaking process, from an idea to its premiere.
